Evaluation of the environment to heatsink performances
Optimal Thermal Solutions BV used 6SigmaET simulation software to investigate what the influence of the environment is on thermal performances of a LED- heatsink. The performances of a LPF80A50 heatsink were examined in an open environment of the UL6″ size. The results of the simulation have been compared to the measured values. This pointed out that the average deviation between the test and simulation data was 3,5%.
